Introduction to all Kindred Spirits regarding Important Values in the
Life of Amy Nasir.
Good Day! And welcome to my biography page. I have been studying Objectivism since I was seventeen in 1990. My role models include the characters of
Anne of
Green Gables, Dagny Taggart, Mary in The Secret Garden, and Sara in The
Little Princess; the Andrews
Sisters, Greta Garbo, Ginger Rogers, and my most very favorite, Ayn Rand. The men I cheer on and look up to include
the characters of John Galt, Howard Roark; Fred Astaire, all
regular members of Yes, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and my most very favorite,
Robert Nasir.
My career interests are in the adventures of advertising and capitalism. I
created the very first TV commercial advertising Ayn
Rand's books The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged as a student project at the film school I
attended (Click
here to see it!). I am now working as an Apprentice Editor
at STS Editorial (digitizes commercial footage and cuts and pastes it in an Avid
system - and viola! You have a commercial!). I also love writing
copy for print ads.
My favorite movies include Ninotchka, Queen Christina, Swing Time, The Gay Divorcee,
Drop Dead Fred (a personal favorite), Legally Blond, The Scarlet
Pimpernel, Chocolat, and Cyrano De Bergerac.
My spare time activities include ac-cent-u-a-ting the positive, giving
worship and praise to my beautiful bunny "Athena:
The Princess Bunny-Butt," practicing the
alto saxophone, drums, and piano, singing at karaoke
parties and in the car, buying non-Chinese-made goods,
arranging flowers, listening to Yes music, attending
UMSO meetings, inducing all ideas,
identifying and applying the principles of romantic love (i.e. spending time
with my Husband, Robert Nasir), being an inspiring role model for Robert's daughter,
Diana, building a context of friendship and trust with my good friend Eric, learning how to swing dance, and writing long, run-on sentences about the things I love. |
