(The following is a letter, sent this last month, to Ralph Nader's organization Public Citizen, in response to a mass mailing advocating government controlled national health care.)
ATTENTION: Mr. Nader and all at "Public Citizen", in response to your request for my money to help your efforts.
As editor and publisher of the pro-individual, pro-reason newsletter The Reality Check, please let me assure you that I am doing everything I can to fight the efforts of your organization.
Government provided national health care is a fool's prescription for a nightmare utopia. National health care programs result in the destruction of the very services they claim to attempt to provide.
Recent world events should have provided enough evidence to convince any man open to reason that socialism does not work. A man of intelligence would know, even without such proof, that the theory of socialism CANNOT work.
Socialized medicine (or any variation of this theme) means Death, for the medical profession first and for all of us in the end.
Your desire to implement this kind of national suicide can only come from hate, and worse, an envy which seeks to destroy the best people in the world, precisely because they are the best.
To close - however I ended up on your mailing list, I would ask you to please remove me from it. You'll find no allies here.
